Back 40 Bites
The Back 40 Bites campaign celebrates local dining by showcasing restaurants and food producers throughout the Township of Huron-Kinloss. Building on the success of the Township’s popular Secrets of the Back Forty tourism initiative, this campaign takes a storytelling approach — inviting diners to connect with the personal journeys, passions, and creativity of chefs, restaurateurs, and local food producers.
Innisfree Design was engaged to create the brand identity for Back 40 Bites, along with supporting campaign materials including posters, postcards, and custom graphics for digital use. The brand needed to feel distinct and eye-catching, while still maintaining a strong connection to its umbrella brand, Secrets of the Back Forty.
Each Back 40 Bites feature offers more than just a menu highlight, it’s an intimate introduction to the people behind the plate. Visitors and residents alike can explore fun facts, behind-the-scenes stories, and direct links to each business, making it easy to plan the next stop on their local food adventure.
The result is a vibrant, approachable campaign that not only promotes dining locally, but also strengthens the connection between the Huron-Kinloss community and its diverse food culture.
